Metallistika is an art workshop located in Nizhny Novgorod. It was founded by model engineer Roman Korolev in 2014. Roman replicates Shukhov Towers — hyperboloid structures named after the Russian engineer Vladimir Shukhov, as well as stylized models of power lines, rockets and airships. Exact copies are meticulously recreated from the technical drawings.
The workshop makes small souvenirs (50-80 cm), large models for museums (1.5-3 m), as well as models of transmission towers. Power lines with a history or interesting design are of particular interest to the craftsman. Transmission towers are made in batches. They are then connected to each other by string lights, making the venues come alive with a festive atmosphere.
