The TOY team is a duo of young artists, founded in 2012. They work in the genre of Nizhny Novgorod street art. The artists call themselves "chroniclers of everyday life," depicting street aesthetics. In their work, they interpret memories from childhood, school, and life in general. Because of this, their works may look simple, primitive, childish, even.
Working with urban space, they develop the idea of graffiti tagging: they often incorporate the name of their team into their work. The duo from Nizhny Novgorod took part in the Garage Triennial of Russian Contemporary Art, the art residence of the Street Art Museum and a number of group exhibitions. Strelka Jazz Festival is the first annual jazz festival in Nizhny Novgorod. It promotes jazz culture in Nizhny Novgorod and the region. The jazz festival was held from August to September 2022 at various concert venues in the region and the city.
